We want LawnSwap to work for everyone, including people with disabilities. We keep improving it, and we apply the accessibility standards that fit.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. They explain how to make web content easier to use for people with visual, hearing, motor and cognitive disabilities.
How we test
Accessibility is part of how we build. Here's what we check:
- Automated axe-core scans of the pages that matter most
- Keyboard-only walkthroughs
- Screen reader passes through posting a property, browsing the marketplace and signing in
- Color contrast and reflow, including at 200% zoom
Automated tools only catch some problems, so we check by hand too. We fix what gets in the way of people who use assistive technology first.
Known limits
Some map features are visual. Wherever a map is part of a task, there's a text or keyboard way through it too, like typing an address or using the list view. If something stops you, tell us. We'll help, then fix it.
